Billion Ables will create an inclusive society for the differently-abled.
In India, mobile users are said to be around 25% of total population. If we take even 5% of the total disabled population to be using our services on mobiles, it will be 4 million disabled people. Persons having health disorders like diabetes, HIV, Cancer and other severe ailments and elderly people requires these services in one way or other.
According to the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization(WHO), 80% of world’s 1 billion disabled population lives in developing countries and15% of this population have a disability limiting their participation in family, community and political life. They lack basic healthcare services and social accessibility.
Certainly, the need of the century is for the differently-abled to possess:
In 2006, the United Nations formalized the first human rights treaty for the differently-abled community, called the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Our work at Billion Ables is an extension of the UN mandate. We strive to create an accessible society for the differently-abled, by utilizing latest technological advancements.
Our Vision
“To connect one billion differently-abled people on the planet through our customized services like relationship app, assistive devices, accessible places and a community for sharing their challenges, emotions and success stories.”
